Zleep Hotel Hamburg

A Hotel Inspired by Shipping Container Architecture

Located in the heart of Hamburg, close to the Volkspark and the HSV Hamburg stadium, the Zleep Hotel Hamburg stands out with contemporary architecture inspired by the industrial aesthetic of shipping containers. The building combines a modern, functional design with a strong visual identity that integrates perfectly into the urban environment of the neighbourhood.

As part of this project, Spalek was commissioned to design and realise a particularly striking architectural feature: a large 80 m² exterior light surface, creating even and welcoming light for the hotel’s visitors and guests. This lighting installation serves as a genuine focal point at the entrance to the building and reinforces the visual identity of the structure — especially at night.

The exterior light ceiling was designed to provide uniform light diffusion while withstanding climatic conditions and the technical demands of a façade installation. The effect highlights the hotel entrance and creates a contemporary, welcoming atmosphere from the moment guests arrive.

Der Eingang des Zleep Hotel Hamburg zeigt eine moderne Fassade mit großem Leuchtschild, Glastüren, Fahrradständern und breitem Weg bei Dämmerung.
