Clear, welcoming and bathed in light — the atmosphere of this orthodontic practice is truly special. The ceiling light frames create a modern, professional and innovative impression. They are not only backlit, but also digitally printed, giving the treatment rooms a unique aesthetic dimension.

For this project, the Softimage Lightbox textile by PONGS® was used. This versatile material is perfectly suited to a wide range of visual applications, particularly for backlit systems. Thanks to its excellent light diffusion, it delivers even and pleasant illumination throughout the space.

In addition to its aesthetic and technical qualities, the textile is fire-retardant and OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, ensuring a high level of safety and hygiene — a particularly important consideration in a medical environment.

The practice owner, Dr Marc Bäumler, places great importance on the health and wellbeing of his patients. The light ceilings create a calm, reassuring atmosphere in the treatment rooms. In total, 83 m² of Softimage Lightbox textile was installed in this Swiss orthodontic practice — making it an excellent example of textile architecture in a medical setting.
